Analysts from MTS Bank and the services marketplace YouDo.com noted a change in the everyday habits of Russians at the beginning of 2024 — they began to transfer the performance of their household chores to specialists much more often. A significant increase in demand was recorded for cleaning, laundry and dry cleaning services.

According to MTS Bank, in January-March 2024, the demand for laundry services increased by 87%, and for cleaning services — by 77% compared to the same period last year. Average receipts in both categories increased slightly: in laundries — by 5%, for cleaning — by 8%.
The number of requests to dry cleaners has also increased, the number of payments here has increased by 38%. Average receipts increased by 17%. Carpet and upholstery cleaning by specialists at the beginning of 2024 became 11% more in demand than a year ago. And the average receipts for these services decreased by 25%.
According to the marketplace of services YouDo.com the demand for Cleaning and Household assistance services increased by 34% in January-March 2024 compared to the same period last year.
Marketplace users are more often looking for performers who will help with general cleaning and dry cleaning of furniture, as well as stain removal and ironing.

The study is based on the analysis of depersonalized data from the marketplace of services YouDo.com and by bank cards of MTS Bank customers in all regions of Russia from January 1 to March 15, 2023-2024 according to the corresponding MCC codes.
